Home to the Claretian Missionaries, the Inner Gatehouse also contains four self-catering apartments, each with its own character and style.
The unique Gatehouse, built in 1480, is one of the earliest surviving brick-built buildings in the East of England. It has been restored and transformed from a near ruin to beautiful well-appointed short-stay accommodation. Four fully furnished, self-contained, self-catering apartments are available, which can accommodate between 2 and 4 persons each:
St. Michael (sleeps 4) - 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), sitting area with TV, kitchen/dining area, shower with toilet
St. David (sleeps 3 & can add another single bed) - 1 bedroom (1 double, 1 single), sitting area with TV, cooker area with microwave, bath/shower with toilet. Can be interconnecting with All Saints.
All Saints (sleeps 3) - 1 bedroom (1 double, 1 single), sitting area with TV, cooking area with microwave, bath/shower with toilet. Can be interconnecting with St David.
St. Jude (sleeps 2) - 1 bedrooms (1 twin), sitting area with TV, cooking area with microwave. Private bath/shower and toilet down some stairs.
